Florence offers many tourist attractions like: Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo), Santa Croce Basilica, Ponte Vecchio Bridge, Signoria Square, Pitti Palace, Medici Chapels, Galileo’s Museum History of Sciences, the Synagogue, Santissima Annunziata Church, Leather School, the Boboli Gardens, San Mark Church, Republic Square and Saint Lorenz Basilica.
There are also the Academy of Fine Arts with the famous Michelangelo’s David Sculpture, and the Uffizi Gallery where Botticelli’s Birth of Venus is preserved. Florence has 13 state museums which house over 300,000 works of art dating from pre-historic times to the 20th century. Most of the masterpieces originate from the Florentine Renaissance and the Medici period.
The day will continue with the city of Lucca one of the most beautiful and loved cities of art in Tuscany with an unbelievable historic wealth. Lucca is in fact one of the few cities where the ancient city walls have been completely preserved. During the tour you will visit the Roman Amphitheater, San Martino’s Square with the famous Duomo, the Church of San Michele, Napoleon’s Square (heart of the city) and the main Fillungo Road.
