This is a special excursion through the beauties of Messina, the pearl of the strait!
Our first stop will be the Church of Montalto, which houses some of the most ancient icons of the Madonna and from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city.
Then we will visit the shrine of Christ the King, built during the fascist dictatorship; it preserves the remains of the fallen soldiers in the war, paintings and precious marbles. From the terrace in front of the sanctuary you can enjoy the best view of the city and the strait of Messina.
Continue through the ancient arch of the Spanish era to reach the old city gate where it will be possible have a photos stop. The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele is one of the most fascinating architectural buildings in the city. On the way to the Cathedral we will admire Piazza Pugliatti, where the Palace of Justice and the University are located, the S.S. Annunziata and the Baroque fountains. We will also admire the monument to Don Giovanni of Austria and then go to our final stop, the cathedral of Messina, with its spectacular astrological / astronomical bell tower.
