Pisa is an important stop during your tour in Tuscany Region. The city was one of the four Italian Maritime Republics and it is a treasure chest of artistic riches with Romanesque and Gothic churches.
Pisa is famous all over the world for its Leaning Tower which is about 300 steps high climb and it standing there since 1173. However, the city offers also many other fascinating things to admire such as: Duomo with its Baptistery, the Monumental Cemetery, the Miracles Square, the Museums of the Sinopie and Opera.
The medieval village of San Gimignano, halfway between Florence and Siena, is probably the most famous one in the whole Tuscany Region with its enchanting landscapes, artistic and architectural beauties.
San Gimignano is famous mostly for its 13 medieval watch Towers located in the middle of the village, but there are a lot of attractions to visit: the little church of “Collegiata” completely covered with Frescoes, the Cathedral square, the Torture Museum, the civic Museum and the Rocca of Montestaffoli, built to defend San Gimignano from Siena's attacks after submission to Florence.
In San Gimignano you will find many local artisans’ stores where you will can buy wines, olive oil, hand painted pottery, leather good and more.
